Zentangle angle

“Love is a friendship set to music.”~ Joseph Campbell, American writer

This week’s Diva Challenge is to use a as-yet-unnamed technique to create a specifc string fo your tangles. Make a row of parallel lines. Connect them in a perpendicular way that goes straight line-curved line-straight line-curved line-etc lines. In this way, you create rows of columns and bumps, bands that hop-skip-jump together. I quickly tried this, working to keep the curved perspective. Not sure I accomplished it, but I can see how this technique could be used as an interesting filler for a larger space.

What to call this twisting and bending? Well, “Bandangle” and “Pillaring” have already been suggested, but bandangle just struck me hard. Doing this challenge brought so many names to mind, among them: banding, skidding, scrunching, hiccuping, crinkling, hop-skip-jumping…oh, the delight of words to a writer and artist!

I love your tile. As I’ve looked around, may variations on the theme have appeared, and yours is just beautiful. Nice work!
