Anniversary love and Happy Holidays!

“Don’t marry the person you think you can live with; marry only the individual you think you can’t live without.”~James Dobson, American psychologist

Eleven years ago today, my husband proposed to me. (I said “Yes.”) The romantic that he is, today is also his parents’ wedding anniversary.

The jump on holidays started so simply with a radio marathon of Christmas songs on December 25. Then some stations chose to play 24/7 Christmas music in the month of December. A number of years ago, a radio station polled its listeners: when did they want to hear holiday music? The overwhelming vote: November 1. Really? I mean, really??

Dashing through the holidays

When you talk about starting early, let’s consider my local big box craft store, Hobby Lobby. Two weeks before Memorial Day, there were scarecrows and punkins on the shelves. Yoday is June 21–the first day of Spring–and this is what my local Hobby Lobby craft store has on display.

There is no way I could make up stuff like this. ther is no way I would want to.

    Happy (belated) Anniversary!

Wow, that’s pretty early to see holiday stuff pop up in the stores already. On the other hand, for those of us who craft our own cards.. it may well be the perfect time to start working on them so we can finish the whole batch without stress in time for the holidays? ;-)

      Thank you!

I never thought about early crafters. All of my cardmaking/scrapbooking friends seem to start their projects in November. :)
