THON 2014 Total Reveal

Penn State’s Dance Marathon ended today. After 46 hours awake and on their feet, the dancers succeeded. They survived THON.

1973–the first Penn State Dance Marathon–78 dancers, $2,136 raised.
1991–the year I danced as an undergrad–544 dancers, $785,835 raised.
1992–the year I was a Moraler and THON’s 20th anniversary–$1.14 million, the first time raising over $1 million dollars.


THON 2014 total


2010–the year I danced as an alum–700 dancers, $7.83 million.

2012–the first time hitting $10 million dollar mark–707 dancers, $10.68 million.

2013–look at the changes!–710 dancers, $12.37 million.
2014–this year’s THON–707 dancers, $13.34 million raised.

In total,  $114,860,905.11  has been raised since 1973.
