Found poetry, found fun

“Poetry is what gets lost in translation.”~Robert Frost, American poet

Poetry can be complicated.

Using the word “poem” almost gives it a childish impression. It’s not serious writing, or it’s too serious. Nahhhh…nothing can be too serious or too un-serious.

I prefer a lighthearted approach to the genre. I discuss and explain a bit more detail my thoughts on poetry at the Deadwood Writers blog.

What this also means is that I embrace the artistic, creative side to it. What can you do to poetry, with poems?

Found Poetry! What’s more creative than making up a poem from pre-existing words? Here are a few more cards from my Zentangle ATC swap. Text combined with Zentangle; a very physical creation.

Have fun with poetry.
